Does Bell Make a 2XL Helmet?

How Do I Know My Bell Helmet Size?

Thus, the initial step in getting a bike helmet of your size is knowing the circumference of your head. You can know the circumference of your head by sticking to a few basic steps, which Helmet Gurus explains below. 

Identify a piece of flexible but non-stretching material that can go around your head with ease. A tape measure is ideal. But if you don’t have it, use a string or any other flexible material that won’t stretch under tensional force.

Let the tape measure go around the widest portion of your head. That is approximately an inch above your eyebrow line. Ensure you adjust the string tension till you achieve a snug and not constricting fit. 

Measure the portion of the string that gives you the snug fit. If you find it challenging to take the correct measurement, seek assistance from a friend. You can take the measurement a couple of times to make sure you haven’t errored anywhere. 

The resulting measurement reflects the Bell helmet size that fits you. But it's only a guide in many cases, the measurement may fall between two sizes as per the Bell size chart. Fortunately, you can adjust helmets through the side and chin straps. 

Try the lid sizes close to your head circumference till you find the hood that feels comfortable on you.

Are All Bell Helmets the Same Size?

Bell company targets customers from different races, statues, and head sizes. And so, it doesn’t provide its helmet as one size that fits all.  

Instead, Bell provides a helpful size chart to guide you in finding your perfect fit. But since our head shapes and sizes vary, some people find the helmets comfortable and others slightly uncomfortable. 

However, Bell Star (Race Star) helmets provide a snugger fit. That’s because the helmets should stay put on your head even at exceeding high racing speeds.

Does Bell Provide a Helmet of 2XL Size?

Bell manufactures helmets of 6 diverse sizes to accommodate many people. The Bell size chart (for street helmets) ranges from XS (54-55) cm through 2XL (62-63) cm.

On the other hand, the Bell Star (also called Race Star) helmets also come in 6 diverse sizes ranging from XS (53- 54) cm through 2XL (63-64) cm. 

Therefore, in both cases, Bell provides helmets in the 2XL size. Hence if you find the extra-large (XL) helmet squeezing on you, consider the XXL a better option.
