Если вы впервые слышите название Goat Simulator, то не удивляйтесь: в этой игре вам действительно предстоит залезть в шкуру сумасшедшего рогатого существа, которое мало того что видит свою жизнь в уничтожении всего, что видит перед собой, так ещё и является при этом бессмертным и на удивление незаметным. Люди, которые в игре присутствуют в качестве мишеней, вас не замечают и остаются совершенно равнодушными, даже когда вы поднимаете их на рога.

Что касается геймплея, то игровой процесс ограничивается небольшим городком, где вы можете и должны разносить всё подряд, начиная заборами и заканчивая автомобилями и людьми, и получать за это очки и сомнительные ачивки: одну из них, к примеру, можно получить, если застрять в текстурах.

Набрав достаточное количество очков, можно открывать новых животных и играть за них. К примеру, пингвин отлично скользит по детским пластиковым горкам в бассейне, а Человек-паук может стрелять паутиной и перемещаться за счёт этого, либо же притягивать предметы к себе. Всего же будет доступно 8 улучшений, среди которых — реактивный ранец, к сожалению, неуправляемый: игрока будет лихорадить из стороны в сторону, и траектория полёта будет совершенно рандомной.

Игра не несёт в себе совершенно никакой смысловой нагрузки, а из-за весьма ограниченного игрового пространства быстро надоедает. Впрочем, находятся и те, кто готов провести в игре не один десяток часов просто для того, чтобы отыскать все баги (которых в игре не мало и разработчики считают это особой фишкой игры), или выполнить какой-нибудь сложный трюк. В остальном же игра неплоха ровно до тех пор, пока не обследуешь предложенную локацию и не научишься основным способам уничтожения различных предметов и людей.

В игре вам придётся спасать жизнь многострадального Боба, который постоянно попадает на ваш операционный стол с самыми разными диагнозами — одной единственной ошибки достаточно, чтобы он умер от потери крови или остановки сердца. И поверьте, он умрёт не один десяток раз.

Мало того, что многие операции столь сложны, что вам поначалу будет казаться, что провести её просто невозможно, так ещё и разработчики оказались с отличным чувством чёрного юмора. Дело в том, что любые хирургические принадлежности — скальпель, пинцет, бормашину (да-да, с зубами у Боба тоже есть проблемы) — можно использовать не совсем по назначению.

Например, во время операции по пересадке сердца ничто не мешает вам воткнуть скальпель в руку Боба, чтобы не терять время на то, чтобы вернуть его на место. Да и набор доступных действий ограничен только вашей фантазией. Зачастую особенно трудные миссии превращаются в избиение многострадального пациента всем, что попадается под руку — радио, пустыми пластиковыми бутылками, одноразовами ложками, которые также в изобилии присутствуют в операционной. Особенно злые игроки даже кидают в Боба его собственные органы.

Такое безумие объясняется очень сложным управлением, которое требует от игрока действительно хирургической точности и хорошего глазомера. Чуть что не так — и пациент умирает от потери крови. Кто угодно придёт в ярость от подобного!

Игра эта единственная в своём роде и однозначно заслуживает внимания. Но хороша тут не только сама идея. Превосходно проработанная графика с элементами 3D радует глаз и максимально приближает происходящее на дисплее к реальности. Кажется, сделано это для того, чтобы вы, охваченные злостью из-за неудачи, не забывали, что главная ваша задача — спасти Боба, а не перевернуть операционную вверх дном и изувечить бедного больного ещё больше.

Музыка в игре удивительная: она слишком позитивная для происходящего на экране, при этом слышится в ней что-то героическое — мы же здесь жизнь спасаем, в конце концов. Но ещё больше, чем весёлая музыка, радует поддержка русского языка в игре — вам не придётся лезть в переводчик, чтобы перевести название операции и понять, что же от вас вообще требуется.

И напоследок: если вам надоел Боб с его вечными проблемами со здоровьем, вы можете провести операцию над… инопланетянином. Для этого вам нужно взять кассету, которая лежит на вашем столе и по совместительству главном меню игры, запомнить написанные на ней цифры, после чего вставить кассету в проигрыватель, нажать на зелёную кнопку и ввести этот числовой код. Наслаждайтесь бонусным уровнем!
